Rocky Mount is stretching its timeline.
The site will play host to its 4th Annual American Heritage Festival, June 11th & 12th, 2022. The weekend festival will not only tell the tale of William Cobb and his historic cabin, but the timeline of the region through the centuries. The event is one of the largest historical events spanning from the Revolutionary Wars to current times.
Living history reenactors, authors, storytellers, and musicians will guide guests through history during the annual event, sharing their knowledge, and giving them a peek at the different facets of life over the years.
Rocky Mount held a significant role in the starting of Tennessee, come and learn why we say, “Tennessee Starts Here.” Tennessee has long held the nickname of the “Volunteer State” and here you can learn how some of our ancestors chose to do that very thing throughout the years.
Demonstrations of battle strategies, blacksmithing, leatherworking, and a ladies’ tea are just a small list of things that you can see and enjoy during the two-day event. During the event, Rocky Mount will host tours of the historic homestead and museum. From life on the battlefield, to life in the cattle field there is sure to be something for everyone!
